How to not get frustrated with In Laws?
There is no way to not get frustrated with outlandish behavior. I have similar problems with my mil and after several arguments with her after which she threatened me I realized she's just not worth it. My husband and I have had alot of problems because of her and I refuse to let her ruin my marriage. She actually told me I was hurting our daughter by not putting her in daycare and that she is fat. I went off. She doesn't care much for me anymore and I honestly don't care. It took my husband awhile to accept that it's best for us if I just don't speak to her unless I have to. We also had an issue with Facebook and I refused to let her on my page and even blocked her. She of course went crying to my husband about how I was mistreating her. I think I have a right to have a life my mil doesn't need to be a part of. She also criticizes everything I do and say. There really is no answer to your question except to say that so many people deal with mil issues and you have to decide how to handle it. The most important thing is to not let it affect your marriage and truth is no matter if she likes you or not, approves of your parenting choices or not. You're the wife, you will be the mother so if you think about it she loses no matter what she says or does. If she wants to be a part of her sons or his children's lives she will accept that.
