Is moving to a new school as bad as i think?

well my parents are talking about moving out of town or even out of state..to most ppls this aint a big deal. but i have never moved to a new school. so i have been with the same kids in the same town my whole life. and im turing 13 this year so it will be hard. have any you guys moved before? is it really that bad as im thinking it is? does any one have advise for me and my new school and life?
