Any colorguard visual/effect ideas?

This is my first year in the marching band's colorguard and i'm in charge of the choreography. I need help on creating some visual/effect ideas with flag, rifle, or swing flags; besides ripples. Theres 12 people in our guard so please keep it limited. Anything will be greatly appreciated, thanks! :D
