Breaking up with boyfriend over April fool's joke?

My boyfriend played a rude trick on me on facebook. He made a fake account as a woman, and made a post to his page. Basically the post said. "I'm carrying your SEED and i don't give a f**k if your in a relationship I won't go through this pregnancy alone." and a lot of other crazy antics. Now, half my of my family is on Facebook, and i got a lot of phone calls regarding that post on his page. I already had a feeling it was an April fool's joke but i still got really mad and i broke up with him. Am i overreacting or was it well deserved?
