Removing popcorn ceiling and retexturing please help?

i used this you want to mix about a quart of paint to 2 gallons mix untill its like melted ice-cream use a thick nap roller only covers 7 x 7 square so you might mix up about 6 gallons & 3/4 gallon of paint
