What is a good all around rifle for deer and elk?

I live in the Northwest and will be hunting Mule deer, Black tail, Rocky mountain and Rosevelt Elk, Possibly black beer and Ram. I need a rifle that can handle all of these with a well placed bullet but not destroy a blacktail.
