I hate my room! What should I do?

I really want a modern room! My room is a disgusting green with wood bookshelves, drawers, and a green desk ALL BUILT IN!!! The thing is, I want to paint my room white, but my parents dont like painting! They dont like the whole mess it makes! Also I want the drawers, bookshelves, and desk ripped out. I need help!!! What should I do?
